About this opportunity
We are searching for one competent person to fill a Service Architect role that shall support our existing Storage service teams.
Ericsson Lab Operations provide world class lab infrastructure, storage, networks and HW Services to the research and development organizations through our standardized solution and services, we enable our stakeholders to configure and deploy their design and test environment.
The Global Storage Service is supporting with storage capacity with global deliveries from Linköping, Stockholm and regional labs globally. Today the service is predominantly built upon NetApp products.
You will be part of our Operations team and report to Line Manager in Lab operations Network & Storage unit. In close cooperation with colleagues from all parts of the organisation you will be an important part of making sure that we all drive in the same direction. Our users are all our colleagues and your goal is to ensure that they will all be able to focus on their specific area of expertise and be able to perform their jobs as efficiently as possible.

You will be part of strong operations and development team all the way from requirement setting, systemization, implementation, verification to customer release and maintenance.

What you will do
Drive the User Experience aspects for the framework and associated services/functionalities from a requirement and quality assurance perspective in close collaboration between the teams, Service domain Manager and stakeholders.
In addition, the Service Architect shall support multiple teams in overall architectural questions concerning:
Define, drive and support technical solutions for the service, with support of the service development teams with focus on technical solution, with consideration on time, quality and cost.
Continuous Integration setup for developed service automations.
Perform gap analysis and formulate requirements for components missing to achieve full-service delivery including automation.
Suggest and support implementation of improvements where and when necessary, based on input from the day-to-day operations and retrospective.
Service architectural documentation relevant to service architect according to service management framework processes.
The individual contributes to an open and high-spirited team environment, and regularly reflects on current ways of working in order to propose improvements.
Take Technical leadership (drive changes, influence, standards, simplicity) and cooperate with other Service architects.
Drive and contribute technical innovations to the service strategy plans and roadmaps.
Maintain service anatomy.
Support service development and deployment and coordinate with Service Domain Manager (SDM) and other Service Architects.
Support the Service Domain Manager (SDM) with input to business decisions (for example with pre-studies).
Support SDM in risk analysis, security assessment and business continuity management.
Ensure delivery of technical solutions, quality, highlight risks and impediments to service development teams.
Secure that architecture and security requirements are followed, and hand-shaken with Security and Architecture, ensure security compliance.
Adopt cloud native technology and principles.
Work collaboratively with customers to improve the product.

MSc or BSc level in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent level of knowledge.
5+ years’ experience as Storage engineer and Storage Architect or equivalent level of knowledge.
Proficiency in storage management software and tools like EMC Storage, NetApp, Pure, HP and others commonly used in the industry.
Deep understanding of various storage technologies. This includes knowledge of different storage types like SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), DAS (Direct Attached Storage), and cloud storage solutions (Understanding of cloud storage services like AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage, as many organizations are adopting hybrid or multi-cloud storage). Familiarity with storage protocols (e.g., SCSI, NFS, SMB).
Programming experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C/C++, PowerShell, Ansible and Phyton.
Excellent speaking and writing skills in English.
Experience in any of the following areas - Virtualization, cloud, container technologies, development of microservices, SW architecture and agile methods and continuous integration is beneficial.
