WHO YOU ARE
You are a person with a creative mind who wants to inspire the people around you. You are passionate about home furnishing, graphic design and about customers lives at home and you always want to help the customer to get a great experience when visiting the store. You like your area of expertise and want to develop your knowledge even further.
As a person you are prestigeless, open minded, coaching and responsive and you see the benefits of building on each other’s ideas. You are creative and curious and enjoy working operational as well as strategical and you express yourself well in both Swedish and English.
Since this is a position with personnel responsibility, you have previous work experience of leading, coaching and developing other people, preferable from an operational retail business, and could see yourself as a true IKEA ambassador in the future.
Formal training within graphic design, communication or related areas is a must as well as working in Adobe Creative Cloude programs.
Last but not least you want to be on a journey to develop IKEA on the local market through graphic communication and are not afraid to try on new ideas.
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
You and your team develop, implement and evaluate the store communication strategies. You aim for a lean shopping experience by using your knowledge about the life at home and our local customer shopping habits. You secure a high standard of visual balance, quality, simplicity, cost-consciousness and sustainability in all the communication throughout the store.
You will work in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment and you are comfortable in focusing on how to communicate different concept, both orally and visually with a focus on and passion for home furnishing, customers, sales and co-workers.
As a Graphic Communication Leader you work both operational and strategical and your main tasks will be:
• to plan and execute strong communication that fits the layout of the store to secure an excellent buying experience for the IKEA customer.
• to secure planning processes, timelines and budgets.
• to develop and lead your team through togetherness, encouragement and good communication.
• to collaborate and work closely together with other functions such as Sales, Logistics and Customer Experience on a daily basis, to secure that the customer finds inspiration and home furnishing knowledge throughout the store.
You are a part of the Store Communication & Interior Design Team and you actively support the communication development by initiatives that help the store to grow and attract more customers. You will coach and develop a team of 2 Graphic Design Co-workers who will report to you. Your role will be to lead, inspire and challenge your team to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity.
