We are at the beginning of a new journey to try something different at IKEA. You see, we constantly challenge ourselves to become greater home furnishing experts. Our mission will be to inspire customers with home furnishing solutions that appeal to the dreams, needs and wallets of the many people.
You will work as an Interior and Design Co-worker within the Communication and Interior design department (Com&In) of the IKEA Kållered store. At times you may be contributing to another store in your region or be an important part of a larger project in an IKEA market outside your region.

• has experience from similar assignments within retail or similar business, with relevant education within interior design.
• masters Revit as well as the Office suite.
Your responsibilities
You are creative, willing to learn and work with colleagues, eager to create inspiring range presentations solutions, always with the IKEA conceptual framework as guiding star. You bring your talent, your curiosity and home furnishing passion, we add on the IKEA concept and together we take IKEA and you to the next level.
Your main tasks will be offering our visitors of IKEA Kållered store the most inspiring shopping experience, meaning working with interior design in room settings while always presenting our range in a commercial and inspiring way. The purpose of all the work you will do is to appeal to the needs and dreams of the many people.
When working within Com&In department you will collaborate a lot with colleagues in your department as well as sales and logistics. It is in this intersection we together create not only esthetically appealing solutions, but also commercial and easily maintainable. We are after all in the retail business. This gives an opportunity for you to deepen your expertise even further and become more commercial.
If you are involved in projects outside your region, you will get an opportunity to develop valuable networks, accelerate your personal development and widen as well as deepen your current expertise considerably.

The positions are fulltime, both permanent and temporary. The temporary position will last for approximately 6 moths. Start according to agreement. We are mainly working office hours (Mon-Fri 07.00-16.00), however sometimes the work might include evenings and weekends.

The interview process has 4 steps:
We screen your personal letter, CV and carefully read your typed answers to a few complementary questions. Please take your time with the question since we rely a lot on these answers. If you have a portfolio then please feel free to attach it with your application. If you are selected after step 1, step 2 will happen.
We send you an invitation with recorded questions, you answer by recording yourself while answering, you can use pretty much any device. Please keep in mind that we are more interested in your answers, not whether you have recently shaved or are having a bad hair day. If you are selected after this step, you will move on the step 3.
You finally (keeping our fingers crossed) get to meet us and participate in a competency assessment as well as answering our interview questions. Please also prepare with your own set of questions so you can assess us as your future employer as well.
Finally, congratulations you made it, the last step is to accept terms and sign contract with us, we are looking forward to having you as an IKEA colleague as soon as possible.

Invitations to interviews (step 3) will most likely be sent out with short notice and we truly appreciate your cooperation & understanding for this. Interviews (still step 3) are planned to be held between week 51 (2021) and week 2 (2022).
