Store Manager, Market Expansion, Sweden

Puuilo, a rapidly growing retail chain in Finland, is looking for entrepreneurial minded Store Manager for market expansion in Sweden. In this role you would open and manage the first store in Sweden, and be a key player to ensure growth and further market expansion. The planning and training period takes place in Finland, and lasts 6-12 months. After the planning period, you will relocate in Sweden to the city where the first store will be located.
The company is a nationwide retail chain and one of the market leaders in Finland and well-known consumer brand. You will have a unique opportunity to build similar success in Sweden, and be part of the company’s exciting future. Your role is highly independent, but you will get support from the highly skilled leadership team in Finland.

The Store Manager will be responsible for opening and managing the first store in Sweden:
- Hiring, training and managing the personnel
- Marketing and awareness building
- Brand building
- Store operations
- Revenue and profit

A successful candidate has a background from floor-level retail store operations. You are entrepreneurial minded self-starter, and don’t give in in case of set-backs or challenges. You are a native Swedish speaker, and understand and speak Finnish fluently.

Candidate requirements:
- Experience from floor-level retail operations
- Managerial experience, likely as a store manager
- Leads by example, encourages people to give their best
- Willingness to relocate as the project goes on (Finland and Sweden)
- Potential to grow into a role with a bigger responsibility of Swedish market as the expansion plans goes further
- Can-do attitude and flexibility
- Excellent organizing, customer management and people skills
- Ability to deal with uncertainty, set-backs and stress tolerance
- Native Swedish and fluent Finnish skills
- Suitable commercial education
- Experience of opening new stores is an asset
