This interesting role as Strategic Account Manager offers you the opportunity to develop and drive dedicated, larger accounts with the aim of expanding our business together. This means a lot of responsibility but also a great chance to be creative, try new ideas and drive our business development.

About the position
As Strategic Account Manager you will focus on major strategic customers in Sweden and to develop the assigned accounts. You will also find new accounts in order to expand our business and portfolio. Understanding customer needs and generating tailor-made solutions is an important part of the job.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Drive sales activities but also work actively with procurement together with the product team
- Make a business plan
- Bring customers on board
- Present GEODIS and our services in a professional manner
- Evaluate potential and identify new business opportunities with existing customers and prospects
- Select, visit, and process key prospects according to our Global Sales Process
- Identify customer needs and coordinate an offer in line with the same
- Report activities according to Global Sales Process
Internally you will mainly work close with our product teams, the operational teams as well as the Branch Manager at Stockholm office. You will have some contact with regional and global product teams within the GEODIS network as well as local teams throughout the world.
In this role you will be placed at our office in Stockholm, and you will frequently travel within Sweden. International travels might be requested occasionally. You are part of our Business Development team and report directly to our Sales Director. This is a permanent position and start date will be as per agreed.
Your background
We are looking for a person with at least five years’ experience from a senior sales role within the logistics industry. It is considered as a merit if you have post-secondary education within logistics, sales or Key Account Management. To succeed in this role, you need to have good knowledge and experience of Key Account Management and work with larger accounts. As you will travel around Sweden and do customer visits, you need to have a driver's license.
Since we are an international company, you need to have strong communication skills both in English and Swedish. Doing customer presentations is an important part of the job, why good presentation skills are required. It´s considered a merit if you have previous experience and knowledge in establishing sales plans and budget processes.
