Grid Integration business unit supports customers in creating stronger, smarter and greener grids adapted to meet the needs of the changing power landscape. Our system solutions are designed and delivered to provide the highest lifecycle value with the lowest risk.
In this role you will be responsible buyer for control panels. Keeping in mind Hitachi Energy’s overall standards, developing strategies and setting goals you as a Strategic Buyer will ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
Your responsibilities
You will be commercially responsible for suppliers delivering control panels and parts used for control panels assembly
Supplier selection together with our engineering team
Supplier performance monitoring
Develop long-term strategy, currently in start-up phase
Develop the processes in terms of cross-use between projects where the environment is currently entirely project-focused

Claim negotiations for non-performance
Be part of the Supply Chain Management team

Your background
Good communication and networking skills is key to success
A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration is a plus. This can be balanced by a relevant experience
Mix of operative and strategic abilities
Interest in process development in order to be part of the development of role and responsibilities
Experience of buying, at least on tactical level with an interest to develop strategic side
Technical interest
Fluency in English, written and verbal, is required
