We are now looking for an experienced and ambitious Strategic Buyer IT to join our Indirect IT Procurement Team.
In today’s challenging market conditions, Vattenfall’s ability to reduce costs is more crucial than ever. Procurement is one of the fundamental levers to reduce costs in Vattenfall and maximize the value we get from our capital and operational expenditures. Although big steps and savings have been accomplished over the last years, we will have to take additional steps in our procurement journey to be able to deliver on increasingly demanding and challenging cost savings targets
As our Strategic Buyer you will focus on activities for Vattenfall Eldistribution and the major digital transformation and journey that they are now undergoing. You will be engaging with stakeholders in the Business Area Eldistribution and Vattenfall IT to ensure the optimal procurement of materials and services to achieve a maximum contribution to results. You will perform the role of Strategic Buyer and group-wide Category Manager actively participating in the budget design, consulting and support of customers in an international environment.
Key activities will be:
Acting as the group-wide Strategic Buyer for the Business Area Eldistribution and CM (Category Manager)
Developing Business Area specific and group-wide procurement strategies taking into account the respective national legislation in constant consultation with the customers for cost-optimized procurement
Optimizing needs-based care, taking into account deadlines, quality, prices and costs etc. in coordination with customers and coordination with customers and, if necessary, involving the legal department, controlling and finance and other specialist departments
Preparing and conducting negotiations incl. contract design and award decision in cooperation with the client (award documentation, risk assessment)
Designing and contributing to budget preparation
Supplier management
Qualifications
We believe that you are an experienced strategic buyer with a relevant Master or Bachelor University degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience in IT (hardware and software) in an international environment. You have experience in managing procurement categories of significant spend and solid understanding of procurement processes and activities including EU-tender/LUF knowledge.
Furthermore we believe you have/are:
Fluent in Swedish (requirement) and English, both written and spoken
Experience in working in a diverse and geographically dispersed team
Familiarity with MS Office, E-sourcing systems and Category specific systems and concepts
Experienced in contracting & commercial conditions
Strong understanding of Financial processes and their impact
Solid experience in negotiating Group-wide multinational, multi-year agreements
