We are now looking for a buyer to work with Casted parts. The job location can be either at our sourcing headquarter in Stockholm (Nacka) or at our Tierp factory.





The role


As a Strategic Categorty Buyer you will be a member of the global, category managed, sourcing team responsible for the supplier selection process and to manage, develop and optimize the QDCP-values (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Projects) for all suppliers delivering to our plants and central warehouse. In this role you will run cross functional TCO projects to optimize total cost on global level. This is a key role where you secure performance from our external suppliers to reach internal targets and our customers’ requirements. You will manage and negotiate contracts and agreements for your commodities, but also work pro-actively and to develop the supplier base. You will report to the global category manager under strategic global sourcing department.

What we expect from you


As an ideal candidate you have at least a few years of experience as a strategic buyer, knowledge of the category management concept and preferably from technology companies.


You have a solid economical knowledge specialized for commercial company relationships and transactions. Good knowledge of quality, LEAN and logistic processes is an advantage. Good knowledge of various Manufacturing Processes and SAP is an asset. Given the nature of the role and our business area, you also need a solid technical interest, a commercial mindset and a positive attitude.


The successful candidate must be fluent in English, both written and spoken form. University or College degree from a technical field (mechanical engineer is an asset) or similar experience.





You are a natural communicator and networker who easily creates trust & long-term relationships, internal and external. Other than that, you have an inner drive and the ability to take action and ownership of the tasks at hand. Your are always maintaining focus on results and with the know-how to deliver value to our company.
