Mölnlycke is now looking for a Strategic Category Lead to join the Wound Care Procurement team. This position will be based at our global HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The purpose of the role is to:
Secure the supply of raw materials and products from key suppliers through partnership relations.
Plan and direct sustainable purchasing activities to ensure optimum pricing, quality, delivery and service in order to maximize the purchasing power of the company.
Participate in product development projects and drive the sourcing related activities hereto.
Develop strategies and lead category work for assigned categories in accordance with the sourcing process and thereby support the company objectives and strategies.
Your key accountabilities:
Develop long term sourcing strategies based on company objectives to improve efficiencies, reducing CO2 emissions and ensure satisfactory supplier and product performance.
Monitor market and industry trends that affect assigned areas, including cost drivers, manufacturing costs, material development and the global supply base to be used in cost reduction activities and price negotiations.
Initiate and determine contractual documents with high complexity and value, such as, RFQ’s, set up of supply agreements to secure cost-efficient supply chain and facilitate product development arrangements.
Apply effective negotiation techniques to establish agreements that support identified strategies and enhance the global competitiveness of the company.
Participate in new product development projects to drive the sourcing related activities and to ensure that the procurement strategy is maintained.
Lead cross-functional commodity teams with the responsibility to drive cost reduction, make/buy analysis, quality and delivery performance, drive sustainability improvements, reduction of inventory and other applicable key performance areas.

What you’ll need
Experience in sourcing strategy formulation and implementation
Academic business degree within relevant field
Analytical and cost calculation skills
Excellent networking and negotiations skills
Supplier Management and Category Management experience
Basic commercial agreements and policies knowledge
Relevant international purchasing experience
Overall knowledge/understanding of Emission management/Scope 3 is seen as an advantage
