Mölnlycke Health Care, a world-leading provider of high-quality healthcare solutions for customers, healthcare professionals and patients worldwide, is recruiting a Strategic Commodity Manager to the department Procurement Raw Materials.

As a Strategic Commodity Manager you secure the supply of raw materials and products from key suppliers through partnership relations. You plan, develop and implement direct purchasing activities in order to maximise the purchasing power of the company. You will report to the Global Procurement Manager.

The position is full-time and based in Gothenburg. Closing date for applications is 5th of June but interviews are held on an on-going basis so please send your CV and cover letter as soon as possible.

Key accountabilities

- Develop global sourcing strategies, monitor the market and industry trends
- Perform supplier evaluations to ensure that suppliers fulfill quality and environmental standards
- Initiate and determine contractual documents with high complexity and value
- Apply effective negotiation techniques to establish agreements that support identified strategies and enhance the global competitiveness of the company
- Participate in new product development and/or product care project teams to support the scope of the project
- Lead cross-functional commodity teams with the responsibility to drive cost reduction, make/buy analysis, quality and delivery performance
- Liaise with our manufacturing sites and the suppliers in the resolution of significant delivery-, quality-, or other business issues
- Ensure the adherence of the company’s ethical, behavioral and quality principles and standards throughout the sourcing and supply processes


Utbildning/erfarenhet

- Academic business degree, minimum bachelor
- Relevant purchasing experience
- Sourcing strategy formulation and implementation
- Analytical and cost calculation skills
- Strong communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Supplier management
- Merit: experience of project purchasing

To be successful in this position, you must have a strong commercial mindset. You must be fully fluent in oral and written English. Travelling will be required for this role.
