We are looking for two Strategic Logistics Optimization (SLO) Data analysts that will ensure we get the most value from our data assets - using information technology, data, analytics tools and expertise to ensure our journey towards truly optimized and sustainable logistics networks. The SLO Data Analysts will be part of the Purchasing Development team in Logistics Purchasing. Our team provides high-end analysis to maximize project and investigation deliveries for the department. We also drive internal development activities and projects in order to increase the efficiency and quality of how we work in Logistics Purchasing. The SLO Data Analyst is a new role and responsibility in our team, so for the right candidate it is a great opportunity to be part of establishing and developing this competence area and our analytical capabilities. What will you do?
You will work closely with the Strategic Logistics Optimization (SLO) leaders - providing analysis and calculations in investigations aiming to identify logistics networks optimization potential. The investigations serve to find cost and sustainability improvements – and your analytical skills and competencies will be vital for our success. You will have a lot of collaboration with other departments such as operational – and development logistics. The investigations will be the major part of your job, but you will also drive internal development activities and projects.


Who are you?
We believe that you are well oriented in the area of Advanced Analytics and have analytical skills to make recommendations on the most suitable models and approaches. You strive for applying new and evolving ideas, methods, and technologies. We also believe you are interested in exploring and suggesting areas to apply RPA, machine learning, AI, optimization etc. We use advanced optimization tools to do the analysis, requiring familiarity with more advanced analysis or programming. Additionally, communication skills and ability to explain complex topics to different audiences would be great. You will work in a global context which requires English on a sufficient level– both spoken and written. Logistics knowledge is preferable, but not binding. We always strive for continuous improvement and in our own work and in the projects we support, so we count you to have an improvement and customer oriented mindset and a “can do” attitude.


Your main activities and responsibilities will be:
Establish and develop our analytical capabilities of strategic optimization
Provide high-end analysis and calculations in investigations
Apply a scientific mind-set and engineering skills in analyzing large volumes of complex data
Drive internal development activities and projects
Continuous improvement and development of your work

Critical competencies for the position
A degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, logistics, statistics or other area relevant for this position 
4-5 years of experience within an analytics area & experience from analytics, visualization tools or programming (such as Power BI, Supply chain Guru, Python etc
Communication & collaboration skills
Fluent in English - both spoken & written
