Our customer is a world leading search engine that is now looking for a Strategic Partner Manager News that wants to work in a creative and playful environment. The company has a start-up atmosphere but with the advantages of a global player.

The Strategic Partner Manager will be responsible for news partners for Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

The Strategic Partner Manager News will: 
• Develop and maintain strong direct relationships with key partners. Manage day-to-day partnership activities, existing performance growth and advocate internally on behalf of our partners.
• Define, model, execute against and analyze key distribution performance metrics and recommend channel improvements to partners.
• Assist with the development of a online video platform news strategy and advise on platform improvements of specific interest to news partners.
• Work cross functionally with policy, legal, comms, marketing, product, finance and sales.

You will work with publishers, broadcasters, and the news industry at large to advocate for the online video platform and create a healthy ecosystem of news video content. You should be as comfortable negotiating agreements with partners as working cross-functionally with colleagues across multiple disciplines to ensure our partners are positioned for success and our users have the best news experience possible. You should also expect to initiate and manage day-to-day operations and partner relationships, fielding and prioritizing incoming requests and troubleshooting.

Minimum qualifications
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of work experience in media
• News media experience
• Business development experience with media or internet agreements
• Experience in account/partnership management or business development in an online company

Preferred qualifications
• MBA, MS or other advanced degree
• Experience in the news industry, including business development, programming and audience growth
• Proven track record of initiating and successfully driving new business opportunities in the media space
• Experience with spreadsheet analysis, public presentations, and data management
• Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and externally
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills regarding contractual, technical, and financial issues with partners
