Strategy and Portfolio Management, within Business Engagement in Group IT, is the function responsible for the Corporate IT Strategy, the Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Portfolio Management for IT at Volvo Cars. Main purpose and responsibility is to develop the strategies and long-term directions for the entire area of IT within Volvo Car Group that will support the company to achieve its business objectives and enable IT as a competitive advantage.

The Portfolio Management area includes several different portfolios for IT. The IT Project portfolio includes all the programs and projects related to IT. The Information, Application and Technology portfolios include Volvo Cars collection of IT related assets. The Service portfolio includes the IT services delivered to business and to external parties. As Strategic Portfolio Manager, you manage the entire Portfolio Management area, which means that you are responsible for the strategic development of the portfolios to ensure that we manage and steer the portfolios in line with overall business objectives and strategies.

Main responsibilities

* Ensure that portfolios reflect the overall strategic direction given by our Corporate Business Strategies and IT Strategies
* Proactively assess the business drivers and translate those into Portfolio Management requirements
* Develop, govern and continuously improve the discipline of Portfolio Management on a strategic level for the area of IT within Volvo Cars
* Develop, lead and ensure cross functional engagement in the overall Portfolio Governance
* Manage Portfolio Management processes and monitor process and sub-process adherence to reach high quality output
* Review Portfolio performance, including financial, quality, customer satisfaction, intended business value, and Portfolio risk and determines or approves appropriate actions
* Ensure high quality in the performance reporting of Portfolio deliveries
* Present portfolio performance and recommended actions with executive level business partners as target groups
* Identify benchmarking opportunities and review recommendations

Required qualifications

* Relevant University degree
* Senior level experience and extensive knowledge in strategic portfolio management
* Thorough understanding of business development and business requirements
* Highly competent in developing and managing Portfolio Management processes
* Used of leading strategic discussion with senior and executive management levels
* Fully up to speed and proficient in the digitalisation trends
* Proven leadership skills and experience
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
* Advanced skills in MS Office with special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
