Your role



As a Strategic Procurement Manager you will lead our supplier projects with sourcing and evaluation of suppliers. You will handle negotiations, delivery milestone follow-up and monitor long-term agreements with our supplier base and be involved in early-stage product or services development, marketing activities, including offset and countertrade sourcing where applicable.

You will also lead cross-functional supplier teams for cost reduction and availability, bench-marking to secure long-term supplier support and insourcing potential. Our team members lead or participate in various continuous development areas of methods and tools within procurement as well as business processes. You will have an opportunity to be a driver within our internal business development activities.



Your profil



You have a solid background in strategic purchasing of technical systems or product support solutions, including experience of negotiation and contract writing with international suppliers. A strong drive and ability to take independent initiatives will be a key factor to your success. You have a strategic mindset with good project management skills and an overall high focus on customer satisfaction. You have proven leadership abilities and an ability to create energy and trust.


Your educational background is probably at university level within engineering, economics and/or law. Excellent skills in English and Swedish, verbal as well as writing are pre-requisites.



What you will be a part of



Airborne ISR (a business unit within Support & Services) leads a number of ongoing major aircraft modification and integration projects. Our business unit is a growing and flexibel organisation where every individual plays an essential role. We now need to reinforce our procurement department with an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager.

We deliver Surveillance Aircraft and related Integrated Logistics Services and our business interacts with other Saab Business Areas, which demands high level cooperation skills. Good communication and cooperation are key words in our efforts to satisfy our customers needs. The Sourcing and Supply Department ensures the business units supply chain and strategic purchasing capability and is a key factor to secure project deliveries, development and long-term commitment of our suppliers for key products and after-market services.
