Mectec is an international company that sells, develops and manufactures innovative industrial labeling solutions known as ‘Print & Apply’. Mectec is now recruiting a Strategic Product Manager in Malmö.

Job Description:

Your overall responsibility revolves around the task of understanding and matching customer requirements with the company’s and the group’s aspirations and availability of short- and long-term resources. Within this scope, you are very much in the “eye of the storm”. You are also responsible for further defining standard products based on existing solutions, and for specifying new products to meet future market demands. The role also includes developing marketing, sales support and training material needed to ensure profitable sales. Key contact areas are very wide and to ensure visibility within Mectec’s and Domino’s network is an integrated and important part of the daily work.

The role is exciting and challenging in an expansive and international company. Mectec is a flexible, non-hierarchical organization that allows for fast decisions. There is a high degree of strategic importance in the role since you will have a large impact on driving the long-term profitability of the company.

You will be based in Malmö and travelling is estimated to 40-50 days/year.

Candidate Profile:

You have experience from working with Product Management and/or Technical Sales at a medium-sized to large company. Leadership experience from a growing, changing and international organization is desirable, as well as a university degree in engineering, though other academic background can also be relevant. Excellent command of English is a must and other languages are appreciated.

You are a dedicated, socially skilled and non prestigious individual with a strong drive to achieve results. You dare to speak your opinion, have the ability to work independently as well as within a team and are always open to colleagues and customers. You want to make a difference, are analytical and have the ability to combine an operative focus with a more strategic and long-term perspective. You have a structured way of solving and attacking tasks, yet a flexible mindset, you enjoy high pace and are open to change.
