Product Area Networks within BNEW (Business Area Networks) is looking for an experienced Strategic Product Manager (SPM) to provide expertise, leadership and direction to define, develop and market Ericsson's IP Router portfolio. The SPM is responsible to ensure the investments in the right capabilities, features and products to meet our customer’s next-generation needs while improving financial return for the business.
Be part of an outstanding team that crafts and improves the future technology of IP Routers! The role will report to the Head of IP Routers and will be preferably based in Sweden, also other locations will be considered.
What you will do
Setting the short- and long-term product strategy for IP Router products
Set priorities and drive the roadmap for product enhancements based on customer and general market demand, technology trends, and competitive analysis
Negotiate the feature prioritization with internal experts, customers, market areas, and customer units
Secure product competitiveness, customer needs and best business outcomes, including cost/benefit analysis
Managing the portfolio lifecycle of the IP Router products comprising organic and partner products
Driving the implementation of the strategy within DNEW (Development Unit Networks) through requirements and requirement follow-up
Assist sales and marketing in product presentations and assessing the right products to meet customer needs
Work as a subject matter expert providing consultation to market areas, customer units, R&D and customers.
Coordinating and aligning commercial and technical strategies with other business areas, R&D, Research, Supply, Sourcing and Marketing
Developing competence and knowledge sharing
You will work across BNEW, market areas, and other business areas.
Be prepared to travel and interact with regions and customers.
You will bring
University degree preferably in engineering.
Experience in product management, system management, or research management, combined with a good understanding of operations and maintenance and analytics
Experience and understanding of the radio access networks including DRAN, CRAN and CloudRAN architectures
Market and technical expertise in the areas of IP/MPLS/Segment Routing
Expertise in other IP and Ethernet technologies including infrastructure / service OAM, Quality of Service (QOS) and Security.
Techno-commercial competence – strong technology/product knowledge married with an excellent eye for business
Experience defining technical requirements and leading software and system implementation across large organizations and multiple regions
Driven to innovate our delivery experiences by staying ahead of the curve in delivery offerings and solutions
Excellent interpersonal, social, and communication skills
Outstanding analytical abilities on technical evaluations and customer argumentation
Ability to lead impactful programs independently
Skilled at developing and exercising cross-functional influence; translating between business owners and technical teams.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple audiences and partners, including the ability to explain analytical outcomes and technical roadblocks in business terms.
