Position Summary: Reporting to the Vice President Product Marketing, the Strategic Product Manager EFB will take full responsibility for the EFB Product Office, the department's organization including staff, products, budget, quality, standards and productivity. You will work closely with Sales and Production Management and other parts of the global organisation to ensure Product success. The Strategic Product Manager EFB will manage and promote the EFB range of products through a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of the market. The position will require the Strategic Product Manager EFB to develop and implement strategic and tactical product plans that will optimise EAG/Navtech's EFB related sales and deliver profit growth. Working with the many competitive advantages that the electronic product range offers, he/she will be able to position the products effectively and also identify new market segments to penetrate. The Strategic Product Manager EFB will be expected to fully understand the regulatory framework that governs the product group and be able to ensure that that product plans incorporate all such relevant requirements. The EFB product office will be the glue between all Navtech product groups to coordinate and efficiently create Navtech's EFB offerings. The coordination and steering of EFB adoptions across the product offices and office specific products will be a vital part of all products future success. Responsibilities: . Developing, maintaining, and communicating plans for our strategic and tactical deployment of EFB solutions. . Worldwide planning and management of assigned products during their entire life cycle, from initial inception to exit from the market. . Being personally responsible for the continual development of our EFB products in line with requirements of our customers, regulatory bodies, and other, relevant stakeholders. . Definition of product extensions. . Managing cross-functional activities, teams and resources necessary to ensure the successful and timely definition, release, and ongoing enhancement of assigned products and Navtechs's product portfolio. . Evangelizing the product both internally and externally. . Ensuring that assigned products meet their business objectives (revenue and margin targets, market share, etc.). . At all times develop and document today's and tomorrows Product Specification . Planning and leading major EFB sales initiatives. . Providing strategic guidance, and sales and pricing support to the sales organisation. . Negotiating with subcontractors, EFB manufacturers and major customers at a senior level. . Ensure quality goals are met and fully support the quality management system development and maintenance. Qualifications: . 7+ years product management of aeronautical products or/and software, with a focus on forward product planning/market analysis and engineering product specification development. . MBA or equivalent job experiences. . Marketing generalist with a very strong product marketing and technical product development background. . Global perspective and experience to insure needs of every market are incorporated into new product designs. . Good technical understanding to identify and translate product features and workflow process steps into measurable and verifiable technical product specifications. . Strong leadership skills and experience. . Negotiation skills . Effective interpersonal skills; adaptable to all levels of the organization . Results-oriented
