Do you want to join us in changing the world? The Bus & Coach industry has and is in many parts of the world still undergoing major challenges connected to the global pandemic, but the larger trends are not going away. The need for efficient reliable and comfortable ways to move around will persist and the urgency of finding more environmental friendly ways to fulfil that need is growing. When people chose to travel together rather than separately, the world becomes more sustainable. When they travel in a bus or coach powered by renewable fuels or green electricity, then we are truly making a difference. We are restructuring the Product Management team to become even better at supporting our customers in providing attractive and sustainable people mobility, and now we are looking for a leader to join us on this journey of change and help us reach that next level.
Product Management at Scania Buses & Coaches has the responsibility to assure that the right solutions for People Transport are developed and delivered in order to secure short and long term target fulfilment. As part of the Scania’s transformation journey and the aim to strengthen Product Management, we are now creating a new role in the Management Team, responsible for Strategic Product and services Planning. As Strategic Product Planning Lead, you will coordinate and drive product and services planning, as well as product strategy planning for Buses & Coaches and you represent People Transport in the new Solution Development landscape.
We are looking for a person with an interest in- and understanding of customer operations and the people transport ecosystem. You know that it takes a team to succeed and you have a track record of motivating and leading your teams to great results. Successful product and services planning is about understanding our customer’s reality, consolidating input from a vast number of sources, assessing and balancing customer value, and manage a large number of stake holders. To be successful in this role it is thus essential that you are analytical, structured, responsive, a skilled communicator, and that you have the ability to build and manage relationships.
Overall, you are a down to earth and hands on kind of person. You are service- as well as business-minded and you take action. You are comfortable with English in speech and writing and additional languages spoken are considered a merit.
Most likely you have a university degree in engineering and if you have experience from Bus & Coach sales or presales at one of our Business Units, we consider that a merit. However, we know that the road to success comes in many different versions and constantly strive to increase diversity in the team.
Application should include CV and, instead of a cover letter, a motivational text describing why you are interested in this role and what makes you the right person for it. Last day to apply is 3th April and applications will be reviewed and interviews held on a rolling basis.
