About the job
We want you to be part of our purchasing organization here in Alfa Laval Ronneby. The team works closely together and we are now recruiting a new strategic purchaser to be part of it. This role has a crucial impact on our products margin and performance, and offers an opportunity for you to grow with the variety of tasks.
You will contribute to the team with by
* Support the development and implementation of regional and global sourcing strategies
* Manage and develop your supply base from a quality, delivery and cost perspective
* Execute supplier qualification procedures
* Drive commercial development activities
* Quality assure purchased items by using PPAP methodology
* Act as first point of escalation in terms of supplier quality and delivery issues
In this role you will cooperate closely with others within the sourcing community and with project managers, engineers and other internal disciplines.
You are expected to travel to our various supplier locations from time to time.
What you know
* You have a university degree in engineering, economics or equivalent
* You have experience of Strategic purchasing in producing operations
* You have a good understanding of supply chain processes
* You have experience in negotiations and are businesslike in your professional relationships
* Meritorious if you have knowledge of MRP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX and the Office suite
* Meritorious if you have experience in 5S, Six Sigma or Kaizen
