Strategic Purchaser

We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser to join our team! In this role, you will be a key player in negotiating with suppliers, analyzing market trends and managing procurement processes to ensure optimal results. The purchasing team in Brännland, Umeå, consist of five people who handle the sourcing activities for our Brännland plant as well as the global responsibility of project purchasing activities related to R&D

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the overall business goals and objectives.

- Identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and at competitive prices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, finance, and logistics, to ensure a smooth operation of procurement processes and projects worldwide.

- Analyze market trends and keep up to date with industry developments to identify potential opportunities and risks.

- Day-to-day business with the suppliers, monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the production teams to ensure parts are delivered on time.

Requirements:

- University degree in related field.

- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize effectively.

- Excellent communication skills. You will use English daily.

- An interest for doing business with an ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

- Experience in strategic purchasing within the manufacturing industry is beneficial.
