The Rosemount TankRadarABdivision of Emerson Process Management is a leading provider of radar-based level and tank gauging solutions for the marine, oil & gas and process industry markets.[ Founded in 1976, the company has a turnover of over 1 billion kr and employs over 400 people worldwide.[ To support rapid growth and expansion into new areas, we are adding a number of new positions in R&D, purchasing, service and other areas.[ The company is owned by Emerson (NYSE:EMR), an American company with over 128,000 employees and $US20 billion in sales.[ Our purchasing department is expanding and we need a new member, an engineer with previous commercial experience.The group, which consist of nine persons, is responsible for selection of and negotiations with suppliers.The articles we buy are complicated and are parts of high tech products, but purchasing of indirect material and services are also included in our tasks.The position of strategic buyer includes: - selection of suppliers in consultation with the project engineers and internal users as well as negotiations about prices and terms.- purchasing and delivery follow-up - participate evaluating of suppliers in consultation with internal users and other divisions within the Emerson group.The work is challenging and the content may vary over time.We are very flexible towards our customers, and in that aspect this position requires vast problem solving skills.We want our candidate to have a formal engineering degree.You need to be a good organizer and you are experienced as a buyer, or alternatively you have previously worked in close connection to sales or procurement processes.Previous experience of Material Planning Systems and other PC based tools are desirable.The work will be done in cooperation with other departments internally as well as externally, so an ability to build rapport is necessary.We think that you are the type of person that are driving and gets work done.Previous negotiation experience is considered as an additional qualification since a part of the job is to independently visit suppliers in Europe, USA and Asia.With that you also need to possess excellent English communication skills.You should to be familiar with modern MPS-system and traditional PC-programs.Please apply by using the apply button or the link below, no later than May 20th.Welcome with your application!
