Strategic purchaser

ValueOne is looking for Strategic purchasers available in short notice for consultant assignments within manufacturing industry in Gothenburg. We are particularly looking for purchasers who have experience in buying sheet metal and castings.

The role

As a Strategic Purchaser, you are expected to perform strategic purchasing work by initiating and driving purchases and cost reduction, developing and implementing purchasing strategies and driving strategic purchasing activities.

Main tasks:

Develop and evaluate suppliers.
Negotiate contracts
Monitor market trends within assigned area of responsibility.
Collaborate with internal customers to identify purchasing needs and more
Drive transformation initiatives (digitalization and sustainability).

Experience and competencies

Do you have long and solid experience in strategic purchasing, preferably in castings and sheet metal? Are you a skilled negotiator with proficiency in supplier development and contract management? Then you could be the purchaser we are looking for. Furthermore, you are used to independently running large projects and driving change work. Academic education in a relevant field is meritorious. We also value good leadership qualities, an analytical mindset and the ability to solve advanced problems. Fluency in English, in speech and writing is mandatory. Swedish is very meritorious.
