Your role
Are you the new member of our Supply Management Electronics team for Saab Surveillance in Gothenburg?
You will be responsible for a number of strategic suppliers, where your main task as a strategic purchaser will be to lead the procurement related activities with international and Swedish suppliers. The work requires capability in establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers, together with the rest of the supply team.
In addition, you will also represent Supply Management in procurement analysis related activities. Therefore, we are looking for someone who excels in analyzing data, compiling valuable reports from our MRP-system, and has a genuine interest in business intelligence applications. You will be a key member of our process, methods and tools forum to develop our ways of working with regards to digitalization.

Managing your own supplier base within the electronics commodity within business area Surveillance

Supporting the Business Areas projects and programs with commercial responsibility and continuously evaluating the market competitiveness of the current supplier portfolio

Be responsible for negotiating, actively managing and further developing our supplier agreements

Assure that the Saab purchasing strategy, purchasing policy and procedures are fulfilled

Being a focal point for handling relevant purchasing information from our MRP-system
*
Playing a big part in our digitalization journey and developing our ways of working
*
Key member of PM&T forum with responsibilities in data analyzing
Your profile
To succeed in your role, you need to be a person with a substantial commercial and technical interest and a high capability of building trust in external as well as internal relations. Furthermore, you should be driven and open-minded for new ideas, and have good social skills. You have to be able to act independently and be capable of taking own initiatives in the interaction with present and potential future suppliers. You work strategically with a high focus on the customer's needs and satisfaction. You are a good listener who creates trust.
Your educational background is probably at university level within electronic engineering, business economics and/or supply management. 1-2 years of experience as a strategic purchaser is meritorious. Excellent skills in English and Swedish, verbal as well as in writing are required.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be a part of
You will join the Electronics category team within Supply Management which is a part of Sourcing & Production Gothenburg, Saab Surveillance.
Our team consist of 16 persons - strategic purchasers, operational purchasers, component engineers, and supplier quality engineers. You will have a big network towards internal colleagues; designers, warehouse, project managers, project planners, other Supply management groups etc.
The main focus for Supply Management is to secure material from our suppliers to all internal and external customers. Supply Management has the responsibility to meet internal project plans with a total cost mindset. Included in this is the responsibility to flow down internal guidelines and customer requirements through our supply chain. Read more about us here
