Strategic Procurement in Global Supply is responsible for Contract Manufacturing Management (CMM), which means managing the global sourcing of non-production related materials (eg. Original Equipment OEM and Distributed Products DP). Strategic Procurement is also responsible for managing the business relationships with external suppliers and general procurement for Sweden. One of our purchasers is moving to an internal position and we are looking for a skilled purchaser to replace him. Your role as Strategic Purchaser will be to . Manage contact with external suppliers . Drive sourcing process . Take ownership of supply base - Manage Business over Time . Support project development in procurement related matters and ensure new opportunities are applied . Coordinate internal discussions/actions effecting suppliers . Negotiate contracts with suppliers and gather contract information . Support price reduction activities by driving supplier initiatives . Continuous volume price analysis . Drive supplier consolidation where appropriate . Support local sourcing initiatives . Drive continuous improvement activities within supply base through KPIs The person needed should have the following personal qualities: . Proven commercial Acumen . Strong negotiation skills, academic background and commercial experience . Ability to work independently and manage and execute all aspects of a supplier relationship . Work with tasks that are both administrative and strategic in nature . Desire and determination to make a difference in an organisation that is new and in an environment that is changing rapidly. The position is international in nature and therefore fluent written and spoken English is required, as is a willingness to travel on a regular basis.
