Strategic Purchaser Metalworking

Saab is a fantastic company to grow and develop in! SAAB Kockum is growing and we are now looking for a Strategic Purchaser for metalworking who wants to be part of a dynamic procurement team working with submarines and surface ships!

Your role

The Strategic Purchaser executes the sourcing strategy within the applicable project, negotiates and establishes agreements with suppliers according to Category Strategy and project technical, budget and timing requirements. You monitor the order fulfilment and intervenes with the supplier when applicable during the course of progress. For this position, you will be responsible for sourcing of metalworking parts from current and future supplier base. This requires;

* Knowledge of several production processes related to metalworking.
* Basic knowledge of steel materials and related standards.
* Basic understanding of Quality assurance with related toolbox
* Excellent skills in creating long lasting relationship with stakeholders and suppliers.
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Be focus point for all commercial aspects related to the Contract / PO
* Monitor and develop supplier performance (QDC) in line with established goals and requirements.
* It is merit if you have experience from production engineering and/or sourcing of welded constructions
* It is a merit if you have a toolbox within quality assurance.
* It is also a merit if you have experience from Strategic Procurement, such as Category Management and Category Strategies



You report to Head of Strategic Sourcing Kockums.

We are looking for you with strong drive and high ability to deliver! Do you also have a motivational impact on people around you - well, than we´re impressed! We believe you have experience from manufacturing of welded steel constructions and are able to apply an overall perspective and good commercial judgement. The role include many stakeholders both within and outside the company, why you need to effectively solve problems in cooperation with others and have an aptitude for building networks. Since we work in a complex field, you also need high capacity to acquire, apply and share knowledge.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
