Who We Are
We are responsible for the procurement of production & development equipment. We work strategically with the business; developing and implementing purchasing strategies and activities.
This is done in a global environment where your social network will include a diverse variety of people internally, within different departments, and externally, together within Traton, Volkswagen Group, and suppliers.
In our team, we are ten people with different backgrounds, ages, and education. To fit in, you are probably comfortable expressing your opinion, questioning current ways, and pitching your ideas openly - but most importantly you are open-minded and appreciate having fun at work.
Job Description
Working as a Strategic Purchaser or as we call it, a Sourcing Manager means that your main objective will be to source production and development machinery and equipment for a dedicated category, according to the company’s needs and long-term goals.
You will steer procurement projects, prepare and lead commercial negotiations, maintain and develop the supplier base, scout for new suppliers and technologies, as well as present results to decision boards
This position also gives a great opportunity, to get in touch with new technologies, and explore new business models while enabling initiatives for improvement opportunities within the team and at Scania.
Your Profile
We believe that you are passionate about the business and that you have previous experience in purchasing or a related business area. We also believe you are a true team player and appreciate supporting your colleagues.
You are professional, creative, and possess the ability to see the bigger picture, often finding win-win solutions.
You hold an academic degree and are fluent in English, written and spoken.
