Strategic Purchaser - Rock Drilling Tools Division

Job description
As Strategic purchaser you report directly to the Vice President Purchasing.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Steel Commodity strategy. This strategy will be developed together with the RDT Purchasing organization and the R&D Steel specialists.The major focus area is:To map current Steel Supply landscape and develop a Steel strategy for the period 2015-2017. This in co-operation with the Steel Commodity manager, the RDT PC Purchasing organization and RDT Steel Specialists. The target is lowest total purchasing cost and lowest purchase risk. The mission is also to implement the strategy.

Educational and experience requirements
Suitable background for the position is a technical university degree combined with some year’s qualified experience from purchasing and/or logistics. Important is experience in project management and strategy development. Fluency in English is required.

Personal skills
Since this is a strategic position, a structured approach and a helicopter view is necessary. You are analytical and you have a strong performance orientation. Due to the complex organization and global team you need to be a very good communicator with strong ability to empower people.

This position is located at our product company in Fagersta (Sweden).
