Our software products, UNICORN and Biacore Insight SW, are essential cornerstones for the success of our BioPharma instruments. We are now looking for a Strategic Softwarearchitectin the Control Softwareand CyberSecurity areas to lead and drive the technology development of UNICORN.

Define Technical Strategies and Target Architectures
Be a goto personand change leader within strategic architecture
Drive Technology work together with UNICORN strategic architect team•Represent the Technology perspective when working with others who provide Business and Operational views
Be part of the team of strategic architects and participate in competence sharing in the team.
Drive the Control SWand CyberSecurityarchitectural development needs within the department and towards other parts of Cytiva
Support and guide development teams and system testers in Control SW and CyberSecuritymatters•Competence building within & outside the SW department
Stay informed about industry practices and technical development
Provide in-depth technical solutions for sophisticated and complicated problems within ControlSWand CyberSecurityareas
Participate in customer meetings
Produce technical solution documentation and presentations



Who you are
Master of Science degree or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience working as a SW architect
Previous experiencein driving and delivering results in complex technical questions
Capability to act as a member of an evolved agile development community and act as a leader and mentor for a technology community
Experience in formulating technical strategies and concepts
Product development knowledge and Product Life Cycle Management knowledge•Knowledge in C++, C#, and .NET
Knowledge and experience in driving CyberSecurity technology and strategy development
Preferably previous experience from working with UNICORN platform and related Instrument Configurations
Preferably knowledge in AzureDevOps and ALM•BioParma business understanding



What You'll Do
You will, as part of R&D, contribute to the development of new products which are used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs. As a Data Scientist, you will support product development from idea generation to production transfer. You will also take active part in the development of data science tools and solutions at Cytiva in close collaboration with other data scientists. The Uppsala Cytiva site is a workplace for more than 1200 persons including in addition to R&D also functions as manufacturing, marketing, quality control and QA. Cross-functional activities in collaboration with other units will represent an important part of work responsibilities.
More specifically will your tasks include:
- Perform data analysis in development projects and trouble-shooting activities
- Setting up structured experimental plans
- Develop, implement and tune predictive models to assist screening and development studies
- Drive and foster a data-driven culture within R&D
- Develop data management strategies
- Document and report results both orally and written
- Identify, implement new techniques, and follow technical development in the field
- Independently plan and accomplish given tasks, to reach project objectives
Who you are
You are a structured and organized team player, with significant professional experience and a degree in a relevant area. You are a creative problem solver, who has a burning passion for data and gaining actionable results from complex data streams.
QUALIFICATION /REQUIREMENTS
- Master's degree in engineering or technical discipline with expert competency in data science/bioinformatics/chemometrics or equal experience
- 5 years of experience in data science development/R&D
- Proficient in R and/or Python
- Well versed in multivariate statistics and predictive modelling
- Structured and organized team player
- Creative and problem solver
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
DESIRED:
- Experience with protein/DNA sequence alignment methodologies
- Expert knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE)
- Experience in the SQL language and databases
- Experience with solutions for data management, cleaning, and transformation
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and their data services
- Knowledge of version control/Git
- Experience with software specification
- Competence in Six Sigma or similar lean methodologies
- Experience from development of separation products
- Research experience in chemistry and/or biotechnology
- Fluent in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
