About this opportunity

External Workforce Sourcing is Group Sourcing’s unit leading the strategy definition and execution of Ericsson’s R&D and Temporary External Workforce categories globally. We strengthen Ericsson’s competitive position by maximizing supplier value, proactively managing business risks & contributing to the creation of customer value.

We are currently looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM) to join our team. The SSM is accountable for evaluating, qualifying & selecting suppliers of (primarily) R&D External Workforce including contingent workers and statement of work based consultants, teams and assignments. The work includes strategic handling of our existing supplier base, consisting of world leading international companies, the selective introduction of new suppliers as well as cross-functional cooperations. The SSM will also contribute actively to our digitalization journey, managing workforce across multiple platforms and channels, creating total workforce visibility and helping secure the best talent in the evolving ER&D landscape and gig-economy.
The SSM will join a diverse team of highly qualified sourcing professionals based in Sweden and China, report to the Head of External Workforce Projects & RFPs, with its primary interfaces in Business Areas, Group Sourcing, Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance. Responsibilities & Tasks

Lead, prepare & execute the RFx process as well as special projects e.g. outsourcings
Evaluate & select suppliers
Drive preparation, execution & finalization of negotiations with suppliers
Award business to suppliers
Implement supplier agreements
Develop the long term business


Position Qualifications & Experience Requirements

University degree in Business, Engineering, Law or Finance
Min 3-5 years of relevant experience
Ability to shape strategies, to translate them into tactical deliverables and to drive detailed execution
Ability to drive objective decision making, influence, collaborate and partner across functions and all levels in a cross-functional organization, as well as with external stakeholders
Excellent English language
Sourcing experience is preferred
Proficiency in relevant digital tools e.g. SAP Fieldglass and related analytics is preferred
Understanding of the External Workforce market is an asset
