Grid Automation Products in Västerås is growing, and we are now looking for an additional Strategic Supply chain specialist. You will become part of a key function that drives and coordinates strategic supply chain activities with our direct material suppliers. In this role, you play a crucial part in the selection of suppliers and supplier development. You participate in the development of our function through continuous process improvements. You collaborate internally with other departments such as sales, finance, product development, material planning, and manufacturing, as well as operational sourcing.

Your Responsibilities
Take responsibility for the long-term work of developing one or more of our key suppliers, focusing on quality, delivery reliability, and cost.
Drive activities to ensure short- and long-term solutions related to our direct material suppliers, mitigating risks and resolving delivery disruptions.
Participate in contract and price negotiations, both in local and global environments.
Contribute to the development of our procurement strategy in collaboration with our local and global Supply Chain Organization.

Your Background
You have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in technology, economics, law, or Supply chain management.
Minimum 2 years in operational, tactical, or strategic supply chain.
To succeed in your role, we believe you enjoy working in a project-based format and have a collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
You are a driven individual who likes to challenge yourself and your surroundings to continuously improve.
You enjoy working in an organized manner, take responsibility for your work.
As a person, you are engaged, humble, and enjoy working in a flexible and global environment with colleagues from around the world.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and build productive relationships.
Hitachi Energy is a global company with global suppliers; therefore, we see that you have excellent English language skills, both spoken and written.
