Do you want to be involved in ensuring reliable operations and at the same time be involved in building Scania's 3rd industrial hub in China? Then this might be for you.

At the moment, exciting work is underway to establish a new production facility in China. We are looking for a committed Project Manager at Scania Industrial Maintenance. You will be part of an international dedicated project team of project leaders and engineers working together to perform and develop world-class maintenance for a new production facility in China.

Our scope is to establish a future Maintenance organization, setting the strategy and procurement of equipment for our central areas as well as supporting the procurement of our future production facilities.

Your assignment
In this role, you’ll work in close collaboration with other maintenance departments, production operations, and supporting functions (HR, Security, IT, Health, and Environmental Coordination) with  Chinese colleagues but also an international team (including all existent operations at Scania).

The project team (TCU) is today a group of driven project leaders and engineers with an entrepreneurial spirit and a high focus on deliveries. In this position, your key task is to be the key person to connect between different responsible areas and hold beat in the dynamic path of the project and deliver as a team.

You will be part of the engineering team with the task to analyse and identify deviations against agreed plans. You will prepare decision meetings, represent the project team in cross-functional meetings, present status, and follow up on the financial costs and manning.

You will also support the managers and work closely together with the part-project teams, Core Team, and other work streams.

We’re looking for you who like to work in a dynamic environment, have a positive attitude, and see this as an opportunity to influence a very large project's progress.

You take great responsibility for your deliveries and you can easily collaborate and communicate with different parties and stakeholders. You are probably analytical and structured with the ability to collaborate and build trust within the organisation.

We believe that experience from similar roles, and a good understanding of maintenance, manufacturing, IT, and digitalisation would be an advantage. Most important is the will to take on different tasks and the ability to handle complex topics. You take a purposeful approach and always have several tasks running.

We also see that you have:


• Bachelor/Master of Science in the relevant area
• Leadership skills and Project manager experience
• Experience in change management and excellent presentation skills
• Fluent in English speaking and writing
• B driving license

Your location
The China project team (TC) is based in Södertalje. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect the competencies needed and deliveries in the project. Business trips abroad and to China must be considered.
