As the war on talent intensifies, many organizations have an increased focus on upskilling and reskilling their workforce. There is a need for better understanding of current skills, future skills required and a culture where learning is a natural part of work. Volvo Cars wants to have a proactive approach linked to resources, talent management, competence development and organizational design to be able to stay competitive in the market, and to meet our business challenges and objectives.
We are now looking for a People Planning expert, to establish and drive Volvo Cars’ global Strategic Competence and Workforce Planning agenda.
What you will do
You will work together with the business functions, including Finance, to build a global workforce planning approach, significantly strengthening Volvo Cars capability in the area, and ensuring that long term competence and capabilities needs are identified and actioned.
You will partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to develop and execute on strategic workforce plans that incorporate business needs, assess talent gaps and leverages tools to model mitigation plans through scenario planning.
You will apply a strong understanding and communication of external macro-economic and human capital data and trends that may impact future organizational structures and workforce composition.
You will build capabilities and utilize workforce analytics to gain insight into critical workforce areas, and to understand the internal and external talent landscape.
You will define the information assets needed to achieve a more data driven approach in an environment that currently has limited global data maturity.
You will consolidate and coordinate an enterprise People Plan for the company and report progress to the executive level as needed.
You will measure and assess progress against existing workforce plans.
Who you are
We would like to see that you;
* know what it takes to create business value with Strategic Workforce Planning and can guide Volvo Cars in developing a deeper maturity from the analytical as well as the process perspective
* have a strong Strategic Workforce Planning background with a record of delivering excellent results in a complex, global organization with an effective track record of deployment
* have successfully built similar capability in an enterprise from ground up, leveraging both analytics and great business consulting skills
* are a self-starter and comfortable using and creating networks to get the job done
* have well practiced collaborative skills and the ability to manage a broad set of stakeholders
* can think strategically as well as roll up sleeves to get things going
* are an excellent communicator, with the ability to organize and present information concisely to a variety of audiences
