ASM Foods in Mjölby is part of the Barry Callebaut Group, and focuses on developing and producing customized fillings and coatings for the bakery, confectionery, dairy and ice cream industries. The site in Mjölby has two production facilities - one designed to produce water based products such as caramels, fruit fillings, and other sauces, and the other designed to produce fat based products such as chocolate and compound coatings and fillings. Our production is agile and flexible, facilitating great new opportunities and creative product development.
As Strategic purchaser your main responsibilities will be to:
Have the responsibility for the direct material sourced to ASM.
Ensures full understanding of the demand and necessary related purchasing requirements based on stock levels and forecast including risks and opportunities based on market conditions
Secure understanding of market fluctuations trends and how price development in the market impact the company, both short and long term.
Manage the ASM risk position on all elements of risk management, including analysis and reporting.
Have a close cooperation with sales on raw material price development, how it affects ASM customers and support when needed.
Cooperate with R&D on the development of the raw material portfolio and on cost saving projects.
Continuously identify, search and evaluate suppliers and/or new materials that fits with the organization’s framework of quality and price.
Participate in cross-functional projects relating to changes of material and/or suppliers
Together with the BC sustainability team develop the raw material portfolio to be 100 % sustainable latest 2025
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
Bachelor’s degree or higher required, preferably in Business, Finance, Economics or Supply Chain.
Preferably 3 years of related work experience.
Experience within negotiations and developing supplier relationships.
Documented experience from a manufacturing environment with focus on procurement
Project Management and Communication Skills.
Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Excel especially).
Pro-active, cooperative, energetic mindset with focus on both result and customer.
Fluent English and Swedish (speaking and writing)
The position reports to the Technical Sales & Sourcing Manager.
Location: Mjölby, Sweden.
You must have a work permit in Sweden.
Start as soon as possible.
