Experience strategist

Within Event Experience we are responsible to guide, enable and execute event experiences for the benefit of strengthening the Scania brand globally. Scania has a long heritage of creating lasting brand experiences, and to keep developing in this we are looking for a new skilled member of our team.
We are now looking for You who wants to take up the position as Experience Strategist within the Communications department, as part of the Event Experience team. An exciting opportunity to be part of the transformation journey within Communications and shaping the future of experience based communication!
Your role / working area
You will be responsible for pushing for transformation within your area making sure that we create experiences that will support Scanias transformation and the shift to a sustainable transport system, whilst combining Scanias future business needs with what should be expected in terms of a premium brand experience.
To be able to manage this, you will be expected to keep up to speed with industry trends and relevant benchmarks, as well as establish a long-term strategy and method for what activities support the expressed needs and targets. You will have an important contribution to strategic direction and decisions both short and long term and will also be leading larger or more complex projects.
You will be the first point of contact for incoming assignments to the event experience department, and it will be your role, together with your colleagues within communications, to define the “how” in creating a 360 plan for delivering on the expressed business needs.
In the closest team you will work together with your colleagues responsible for communication and content, as well as different specialist areas and a team of production leaders that will take over the operational responsibility once the specific project activities have been defined.
Work description
• be responsible for setting the event experience strategy and activity plan for incoming assignments mainly related to marketing communication.
• work with understanding the transformation to new technologies and arenas, and steering Scania to be aligned with this
• collaborating with colleagues during the initial phase of projects, aligning the overall plans and making sure that the common plan of 360 communication supports our business targets and maximises return on investment.
• be a clear and confident assignor to external suppliers within all fields needed to secure a long term strategy within the area
Your profile
• a strategic mindset and ability to steer assignments and initiatives based on a long term strategy
• previous experience (min 3 year) and proven skills from working with strategic planning in the field of event experiences, inc. relevant academic background
• proven collaboration skills, being able to communicate, discuss and lead others with the purpose of achieving common results
• organised and synergy-seeking in the way that you plan your work
• interested and curious in developing new ways of working
• open and including in your way of learning new areas
• fluent in written and spoken English, other languages are meriting
• confidence in tackling complex assignments and proposing strategic directions
