Service Market Logistics is part of Group Trucks Operations. We are approximately 3,500 employees in over 40 locations globally and deliver world class operational excellence for our customers based on smart logistics solutions. Our job is to develop, manage and optimize the Service Market supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and JV’s. The scope for Service Market Logistics includes Flow Optimization, Inventory Management, Distribution Center operations, Customs & Trade as well as the development of logistics solutions to ensure highest possible parts availability, delivery precision and quality globally. As Strategy and Innovation Manager, you will analyze trends, benchmark competitors, drive investigations, and pilot technology to better serve Volvo Group service market customers. You will build strong interfaces within our organization but also identify and engage external partners. A key to success in this role is to keep a close cooperation with our operations and create an atmosphere of curiosity and willingness to try new things.

Main activities and responsibilities
Contribute to the development of the Service Market Logistics global strategy through collaborative dialogues, workshops, and Volvo Group interfaces
Actively explore trends and technologies to formulate new concept development and potential partnerships
Benchmark internally and externally to understand new business opportunities
Drive prioritized investigations with a customer-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach
Lead cross-functional innovation pilots through initial and potentially later phases
Lead feasibility analysis, technical validation and business value development
Promote change and engagement by facilitating events and networks
Inspire colleagues to actively look for innovative ideas that can be used to improve our services
Contribute to a passionate and diverse team of selected innovative and driving individuals

Qualifications


The position works in a highly dynamic and flexible environment where diversity is favored. The right person holds the following key qualifications and competences:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Economics or relevant experience
Adaptable: Comfort with ambiguity, ability to quickly shift priorities, high flexibility in role and tasks
Analytical: Strong research and problem-solving skills, collect data and connect the dots
Collaborative: Successful track record leading agile cross-functional, cross-cultural teams in highly matrixed organizations
Communicative: Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate and inspire stakeholders at all levels
Innovative: Passion to understand the potential in applying new technology as well as practical experience from working with development in the technology or services area
Results-oriented: Have a strategic perspective while being action-oriented and hands-on
Self-motivated: Ability to work independently, with a sense of urgency. Positive, can-do attitude to take on new subjects and work broadly across the organization
Team-oriented: Work as one team and have a genuine desire to help others shine
7-10 years experience in Strategy, Research & Development, Intrapreneurship, Change Management or Project Management
Knowledge of aftermarket and service parts business
Excellent proficiency in the English language is required, other languages beneficial
