To further accelerate the growth and focus on this area, we recently established the new business area Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions (SRP), consisting of the former Crushing and Screening division. We are now looking for a proactive analyst to stay on top of market trends in the mining and construction business and lead initiatives towards new business development opportunities. This is a great chance to shape and build your own role in this new organization, and to truly make a change!
Your mission – delivering business-critical insights and connecting the dots
In this key position, you support senior management in making strategic and operational decisions by providing actionable recommendations based on assessments of markets and competitors, both existing and potential. You create and update industry, competitor and customer models, perform systematic analysis of key industry trends and provide market and competitive insights through presentations and reports.
With your natural ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal customers, you identify emerging needs and business challenges. By conducting market research and feasibility studies you also analyze the viability of alternative business development opportunities. Through this, you take responsibility for the initiation of change management and market development transformation.
You are based at our site in Svedala, with the possibility to work remotely due to the circumstances in the world. Normally, your role includes the opportunity for some travel, in order to keep a close connection with the market.
Your character – an analytic initiator
We’re looking for someone with a stable background of five to eight years in similar roles and a master’s degree in a relevant field. You have demonstrated strengths in problem solving, analytics and driving insight to action, as well as an ability to network effectively at all levels and influence without direct management oversight. As a good communicator, you have strong presentation skills and excellent written and verbal English. A high level of competence within the Microsoft Office suite (especially advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills) is essential, while experience of Sales Force CRM system and from working in global and diverse organizations is beneficial.
Mixing a broad perspective with analyzing complex details, and critically evaluating the risks and rewards of business opportunities are your key success factors. Being self-driven and having a proactive mind helps you to identify gaps, take initiatives for change and realize them. Naturally you’re also analytical and have a number sense in order to keep order when dealing with complex information.
