About this opportunity
Strategic Foresight is a unit within the Strategy department at Business Area Networks (BNEW).

The role of Strategic Foresight is to ensure that the Portfolio and Technology parts of the Strategy are properly developed and that differential insights on long-term technology and industry shifts (5-10 years) and associated impact on our product and services portfolio, including developments and industry shifts within Supply Chain/Production and Supplier landscape are appropriately analysed.

Now, we are looking for a Strategy Manager with focus on environmental sustainability. This to further accelerate our work, ensuring we meet the Networks Wanted Position for Environmental Sustainability:
to halve our Supply Chain and Portfolio on Site emissions to 2030,
to reach net zero by 2030 of Own activities and
to reach overall Net Zero by 2040,


while making sustainability a competitive advantage!
The role is based in Kista, Sweden and will report to the Head of Strategic Foresight.

What you will do:
Drive strategy development and strategic analysis with respect to environmental sustainability and its impact for all areas important for Networks. This includes, portfolio (Covering all Networks portfolio), technology, supply chain (including sourcing), commercial/financial, sales and competence aspects.
Ensure models, indicators and measurements highlighting environmental sustainability aspects are properly included in relevant decisions.
Closely network with other parts of the organisation in the area ensuring the overall Ericsson strategy in environmental sustainability evolves.
Participate in and contribute to discussions with customers and regulators/other external bodies in relation to the impact of environmental sustainability from a Networks point of view.
As an active contributor, bring forward the Networks perspective into the Ericsson Group Environmental Sustainability framework.


All this will be performed as part of the Strategy program at Networks.

You will bring:
University degree/MSc in Engineering, Economics, Business Development, Industrial Engineering and Management or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of experience from the ICT industry
Proven experience within environmental sustainability area (like e.g. Life cycle assessment methodologies, understanding of Carbon footprint vs. product materials and choice of suppliers, Circular business and business models, Energy efficiency and performance, Impact of and possibilities with Digitalization and automation)
Understanding of customer aspects and relevant regulatory frameworks
Ability to drive strategy development and analysis
Good business understanding for Networks
Relevant organizational understanding and managerial network within Ericsson
Strong social, networking, presentation, and communication skills
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
