WHO ARE WE?
Strategic Product Planning (SPP) is a highly strategic and influential function within Group Trucks Technology (GTT), as we support the entire Volvo Group navigate the transformation and set the direction of a visionary and holistic product plan driving the Group’s long terms ambitions.
SPP is a global function with team members located in Sweden, France, USA and Brazil, as well as working with colleagues and stakeholders across all Volvo Group’s locations worldwide. We are passionate about defining, analyzing and translating business requirements and user needs into meaningful and desirable commercial solutions. The Position:
Volvo Group’s brand portfolio consists of distinct brands targeting different customers, product segments, stakeholders, and markets. Each plays an important role, supporting Volvo Group’s vision to be the most desired and successful transport and infrastructure solution provider in the world.
The automotive industry is rapidly forging ahead with its transformation towards electrification and digitalization. Products and services are becoming more and more similar. A distinct brand and customer experience sets the business apart from competitors and is a strategic asset that contribute significantly to the success and sustainability in the market. Now maybe more important than ever before.
In this position, you will lead and define the Brand Distinction Strategy for Volvo Group’s different truck brands, enabling distinct products and services from a customer feature performance perspective.
The work is truly cross-functional and required to identify and align areas (products, components, services) for brand distinction and drive them to decision. Synergies, critical to achieving cost efficiency, will be balanced to protect the business and deliver brand equity.
In this position, you will also have the responsibility to coordinate the customer feature areas to ensure alignment throughout the organization enabling distinct products for the Volvo Group truck brands.
WHO ARE YOU?
As the automotive industry is currently undergoing the biggest transformation in its history, a holistic future-oriented and strategic mindset is a key skill of yours. You have a great appetite in establishing strong brands and you are keen on making customers passionate about products.
To be successful in this role, you will have to have the customer experience in mind all the time, including a deep understanding of the importance of a brand.
Other important aspects are an analytical way of working, capacity to handle large amount of information and make clear conclusions.
You don’t hesitate to speak your mind, have high integrity and a winning attitude. You are used to collaborate and interact with decision makers, with proven ability to present and visualize complex information clearly.
You hold a master’s degree from a relevant field and your background is probably from working directly or indirectly within brand management, brand positioning and brand distinction. Experience from the transport industry, or similar, is a strong asset to understand our challenges, market and business environment.
