Strategic Product Planning (SPP) is a highly strategic and influential function within Group Trucks Technology (GTT), as we support the entire Volvo Group navigate the transformation and set the direction of a visionary and holistic product plan driving the Group’s long terms ambitions.
SPP is a global function with team members located in Sweden, France, USA and Brazil, as well as working with colleagues and stakeholders across all Volvo Group’s locations worldwide. The Position:

Transport Effectiveness directly influences the profitability of our customers and is one area with high customer impact. We are now seeking for a dynamic and result-motivated Strategy Manager for Transport Effectiveness to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and developing the strategy as well as executing strategic initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of transport operations for our customers.
To be successful in this role we believe that you have a great interest and knowledge in future trends within the transport industry and our customers productivity.
This is a true cross-functional holistic role where you will work with both internal and external stakeholders to set the directions for development in areas such as load capacity, load handling and logistics. Seamless integration and adaptation to truck bodies and similar are vital for effective transportation, including mechanical interfaces as well as digital applications.
By conducting data-driven analyses you will identify areas for improvement and optimization in the many different transport operations. Our future is fossil free, electric and connected, so one of many challenges in this position is to find new possibilities and solutions to optimize transport effectiveness.

As the automotive industry is currently undergoing the biggest transformation in its history, a holistic future-oriented and strategic mindset is a key skill of yours.
To lead and define the Strategy for Transport Effectiveness, we believe it is a strong asset to understand our products, how it is used by our customers, as well as a great understanding of the transport industry and business environment. Probably you have an engineering background, and with your skills in strategic thinking and business acumen you are ready to translate that into strategic direction and goals.
You possess strong analytical abilities and master the task to address complex questions with a data-driven approach, and with the ability to present and visualize information clearly.
Your great appetite to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams have over the years given you the experience in how you influence stakeholders at all levels.
