Ericsson is transforming the management of its external reputation, globally, and is now recruiting an experienced practitioner to support the delivery of Ericsson’s reputation management ambitions.
Reporting to the Head of ER Strategy & Campaigns, the Strategy & Planning Manager will be an integral project manager across all key, high impact campaigns and strategic planning work undertaken by the Global External Relations team.
Working closely with the wider External Relations team, the successful candidate will handle key elements of external programmes and be a focal point for leading communications with partner organisations, message development for relevant stakeholder groups and for key events in the annual engagement programme.
The Strategy & Planning Manager will ensure that key projects are delivered on time and to a high standard and that progress and status reports are populated and communicated to relevant stakeholders at key programme intervals. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that campaigns are appropriately resourced with the right skills and input from across the organisation.
Internal stakeholder relationships with the wider External Relations team, Integrated Marketing (Global Campaigns), Employee Communications, Investor Relations and Government Relations will be key for success.
You will:
Be a key project manager across external relations campaigns
Be responsible for managing and keeping up to date the overarching tactical external relations plan, ensuring that we’re making the most of each campaign and execution through clear and structured planning
Manage work in progress sheets and project status reports, applying strong attention to detail
Ensure that projects are appropriately resourced with the right skills and that each campaign has input from relevant stakeholders from across the organisation
Support in the management of external agencies and delivery partners
Contribute to strategic projects in cross-functional teams
Plan and facilitate external engagements for the Group’s top spokespeople
Innovating and executing the process of gathering key market and audience insights from across the organisaton and through external partners when necessary
Be aware of key strategic projects, such as M&A, and support as directed
Contribute to the development and evolution of the external relations strategy.
To be successful in the role you must have:
A University degree (MSc or BSc) or equivalent – preferably in Business or Marketing
Deep experience of project and campaign management
simplify and communicate complex, sometimes technical topics
Fluent and strong communications skills in written and spoken English
Proven ability to:
build relationships across all levels within a global organization
influence senior internal stakeholders and work collaboratively with multiple colleagues
identify and communicate clear, consistent messages within strategic reputational themes
