We at Propulsion Energy Systems (PES) are now investing heavily in developing our analysis operations for traction batteries in terms of simulations and through developing our new battery labs. What You’ll Do
You will develop and utilize simulation methods for structural parts of our batteries and their components. You will be the one initiating tests and analyzing results for validation of simulation methods developed. Creating technical documentation will also be among your tasks.

The work is cross-functional, you will cooperate with colleagues within the battery ARTs and engineers across Volvo Cars as well as coordinate external suppliers. 

Competence is Important
We see that you have a Master’s degree in engineering, with a focus on applied mechanics. You will also need experience from practical work with FE simulations, where you have gained skills in Ansa, Abaqus, Nastran or LS-Dyna. Last but not least, skills in Python or Matlab will be required.

If you possess experience in optimization, it is considered beneficial.

You have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to take vital actions when required.
