Title: Student Assistant

We have a vacancy for the position of student assistant at IES Solna. The role involves responsibility for the support of teachers and students and to work in Junior club.

The role includes:

- Support the learning in the classroom for students requiring additional assistance. 
- Support teachers in class for students requiring additional assistance. 
- Contribute to developing health and wellness for students in all year groups. 
- Build positive relationships with students. 
- Supporting teachers, other staff members and students by contributing to the development of a calm work environment.  
- One day a week be active in the supervision of the library.
- Assist the Special Needs team to put into place specific student adjustments to help students achieve their learning goals.

- Work with the Junior Club students and staff during the afternoons.
- Any other reasonable task as directed by the PrincipalRequirements:

This position would be ideally suited to a person with experience working with young people in a school or coaching background. The person should be adaptable, use their initiative and be a team player. 

Working competence in Swedish and English is beneficial for this role.

We are one of the newest IES schools, opening in August 2021 located close Västra Skogen T bana and close Solna Centrum. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team developing a calm and safe school environment for our students.
