Student Care Coordinator

Internationella Engelska Skolan Länna is seeking a driven and passionate Student Care Coordinator for our new school in Länna. As a Student Care Coordinator, you will work closely with the students, teachers and other staff and be part of the Student Care Team / Elevhälsan. You have an important role making sure that the students feel safe and enjoy coming to school every day. You believe in IES values and ethos and think that a safe and orderly environment is the key for learning. You believe in each child and are interested in finding solutions for every given situation. As a person you are personable, calm, reliable, and firm.

Responsibilities:

Encouraging a calm, safe orderly environment at all times

Being visible around the school, observing and supporting the students

Focus on building positive relationships with the students and staff Ensure that students have clear guidelines on what is expected at the school

Participate in the work with the Likabehandlingsplan / Equality Plan

Participate in mentor activities Responsible and leading Student council meetings

Follow all guidelines/routines agreed upon and received by the management team

Ensure the vision and values of the school are promoted and upheld

Provide assistance/support to teaching staff when necessary

Administrative tasks 




Knowledge

Strong understanding of the IES vision, ethos and values




Skills

Experience of working well with others or as part of a team

Billingual with English and Swedish

Basic understanding of Swedish school law

Basic understanding of student care and pedagogic

Internationella Engelska Skolan Länna will open in August 2018 in a newly-built school building. It is a school for grades 4 to 9 with around 600 students when fully expanded. We provide an international and stimulating environment, where commitment, professionalism and the English language are common denominators.
