Do you want to help other students, to help them to understand better, to supervise and teach? Have you already worked as course assistant in some course, and that made you want more?
Now you have the opportunity to focus on working with teaching for a full year! While you work you will take a study break from your normal studies, so you don't have to worry that your work duties will clash with your normal studies.
About the department
You will work at the department of Computer Science and Engineering, within the division of Computing Science. We are approximately 100 people and we are the main provider of teaching to four BSc programs and four MSc programs, both on the GU and Chalmers sides.

Job description
You will be a course assistant in several courses in programming and computer science, in particular on introductory level. As a course assistant you work with supervision and mentoring for students who are studying the course, as well with grading of laborations and assignments. You can also work with some course administration, or development and maintainance of different pedagogical tools.
Some competence development is also included in the position, which means that you will get the opportunity to take courses or similar in order to deepen your pedagogical knowledge.
Contract terms
Temporary employment or one year.
Qualifications
You have completed at least 120 hec of university studies, of which at 90 hec must be from courses in computer science or related fields such as mathematics, data science, computer engineering, or software engineering. You have a good knowledge in programming, including Java and/or Python. You have experience from teaching, e.g., from having been a teaching assistant at some of our courses. You are fluent in Swedish and/or English, both orally and written.
Most of our courses have a very skewed distribution, where the dominant group is homogenously white and (cis-)male. Knowledge about group dynamics, and inclusion of underrepresented groups, is meritorious.
