Description
Thesis work wheel loader rear axle mounting for weld deformation.
During manufacturing (welding) of big load carrying structure such as frames the design experience big weld deformations. To be able to assemble high precision components such as axles the interfaces on frames need machining to reach the right accuracy. This is a time consuming and expensive operation.
We are looking for a new design of axle-mounting that don’t need this machined surface. The new axle attachment should be able to handle deviation caused by weld deformation of frame.
The work includes problem analysis, concept designs and evaluation, 3D-CAD, FEA-calculations, etc.
