Sub-Commodity Group Manager The position is located in Eskilstuna, Sweden (other locations may be discussed) and reports to Commodity Director, EEH (Electrical, Electronics, Hydraulics) and Powertrain. The position has no direct reports. Main responsibilities: The purpose of the position is to manage and lead sourcing for given sub-commodity group(s). It includes accountability and responsibility for managing the Volvo CE strategic sourcing process for selected Sub-Commodities within the group. The Sub-Commodity Group Managers are expected to manage key suppliers to delivery exceptional Volvo CE profitability through quality, commercial and delivery (QDC) at world-class levels in our industry. Typical assignments include: Developing Sub-Commodity strategies and present to Commodity Director, P&SM heads and Sourcing Committees Give support and work in accordance with the KPIs objectives meeting BL/BA/CC business plan needs Executing sourcing process in line with strategies, including supplier identification, negotiation, contracting and implementation Establish and drive sourcing teams with participation from internal stakeholders to ensure commitment, leverage and successful implementation Teaming with Buyers and Supplier Development to ensure common understanding of business requirements, input to Sub-Commodity strategies and a unified approach towards the supply market Teaming with Engineering- and Commonality projects either as directed by Commodity Director or P&SM (Purchasing & Supplier Management) Council to secure P&SM involvement and ESI (Early Supplier Involvement) Teaming with Regional Hub Directors, SD and Buyers to ensure EMS (Emerging Market Sourcing) and natural hedging to be incorporated both in Sub-Commodity strategies and execution Supplier Host for suppliers within own Sub-Commodity or delegate responsibility to BL Strategic Buyer Manage supplier performance within the Sub Commodity Group based on KPI s for Quality, Delivery and Commercial Prepare and present sourcing cases to the Commodity Sourcing Committee and in some cases to the P&SM Panel Committee Qualifications: University degree in Engineering and/or Business Strong technical understanding preferred. This especially within the hydraulic, electrical and/or drive train area Min. 3-5 years professional international experience of Supply Chain is preferred Proven negotiating and strategic supplier management skills incl. total cost management Financial/business analysis skills combined with a target oriented approach Ability to work on a global multi site environment combined with excellent team facilitation skills Strong communication skills in English. Additional language skills (e.g. Korean, Swedish or German) will be a plus Fully proficient in IS/IT tools (MS office) Experience from Project Management will be seen as a valuable benefit
