Your role
We are looking for a sub project manager who wants to take part in the development of the future Global Eye. You will lead a sub project with three parallel FW/SW teams, each led by an experienced team leader. Collaboration and communication skills are essential components to solve the challenges that you and your teams face. A great advantage is if you have previous leader experiences. It is also an advantage if you have worked as a software or firmware engineer and therefore have a deeper understanding of how systems work together, communicate and how systems requirements affects HW, SW and FW development.
Your tasks as a sub project manager will vary but usually include:
* Planning, managing and follow up activities to be able to reach milestones and goals according to time schedule and cost, both in short and long term.
* Creating and updating the time plan for SW engineering activities and resources in Antura projects.
* Executing the sub project within the approved budget and once every month presenting the current financial status to the project manager.
* Writing a monthly status report to the project manager for general status, risks, cost and time deviations.
* Ensure that everyone knows their role and assignment within the team.
* Raise and communicate potential risks, delays, cost transfers and mitigations to minimize any negative impact.
* Provide an effective and creative environment for the team.
* Communicate with other sub projects to coordinate dependencies and deliveries.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who has at least five years of experience as a team leader or project manager. We believe you have a B.Sc. /M.Sc. degree or relevant work experience. You have excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written. It is a merit if you have previous experience as a software or firmware engineer.
As a person, you are communicative and open in your ways of working, and with a high collaborative ability. You are agile and don't mind keeping a high pace when needed. You plan your and your teams work effectively, are organized and prioritize well to keep deadlines.
You have the ability to independently initiate, drive and make decisions. You are interested in developing with Saab in order to move yourself, our customers and the company forward. You are confident in yourself and thrive in challenging environments where there are plenty of opportunities.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
What you will be a part of
You will collaborate with experienced engineers and professionals in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth. You will be part of the Software Engineering department within Electronic Warfare Systems in Järfälla who provides innovative systems and services that utilise the electromagnetic spectrum for protection, detection, location and monitoring. It also provides tools for intelligence analysis of the information gathered. The unit and EW is part of the Business Area Surveillance.
