To the Group Compliance function, we are now looking for a Subject Matter Expert Human and Business Rights. The Group Compliance function supports the global Scania organization in reducing compliance risks by providing knowledge in terms of policies, guidelines, training, reporting, and advice and by assisting the organization in designing compliance structures and processes in anti-corruption, AML, competition law, and now business & human rights. This role will give the right candidate the possibility to influence and develop the Group Compliance organization and offer the unique opportunity to address business & human rights risks from a holistic perspective in all Scania activities.
Main responsibilities
• ensure group-wide implementation of the legal framework (also including international standards) within the area of responsibility
• by creating, reviewing, and updating business and human rights policies and training materials and overseeing the implementation of such policies and controls
• provide legal guidance to Scania’s global organization on business and human rights
• continuously monitor the development of the regulatory framework in the area of business and human rights
• Support and develop a culture of compliance and integrity
Profile:
We are looking for someone with an academic legal background and experience working with business and human rights. The position allows excellent structuring and prioritization skills and the ability to work independently and manage own projects. We also value good collaborative skills, high integrity, and an open-minded approach to seeking practical and integrated solutions.
Requirements
• academic legal background
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an international company or law firm or equivalent experience
• The position may, in the future, require international travels
• Fluency in both written and spoken English, additional language skills are advantages
