Hitachi Energy is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for monitoring of bushings and tap changers.
This role is organized in the technology department where you will be our expert in monitoring algorithms and problem-solving supporting customers worldwide. An important part of your work is technical market intelligence keeping track of developments and trends in the monitoring industry. Travel to our R&D centers, suppliers and customer visits may be necessary on occasion. You will work together with specialists and colleagues in the engineering departments, and you will be responsible for setting and aligning our strategy for this technical area.

Your responsibilities
Market intelligence of monitoring systems
Storage and update of algorithms and documentation in a central repository
In cooperation with R&D, develop new algorithms for our products
Quality assurance of algorithms used in Hitachi Energy monitoring systems for bushings and tap changers
You will support customers to define limits for warnings from various sensors
Support in failure investigations and analysis where monitoring systems were involved
Support in evaluation of systems and sensors from various suppliers
You will support customers to choose the appropriate solutions for their specific needs and applications
Cooperate with the existing digital PRU to create a digital strategy
Ensure that all support cases are logged into an appropriate system and that customers get answers within the agreed timeframe

Your background
You are a B Sc or M Sc engineer with background in electronics-, mechanical-, software or electrical design
Good if you have experience of digital measuring systems and HV substations
Experience of transformers and transformer components is beneficial
Experience from utilities and transmission systems is beneficial
Most important for this role is your personality and your willingness to learn and explore new areas
You enjoy working with and supporting customers worldwide
Good teamwork and collaboration skills are crucial to succeed in the role!
Good communication and networking skills are essential as the role needs to interface with various stakeholders in the organization
Proficiency in English is a must, whereas additional languages are a plus
