This is a full time position from June until August. The position is seasonal and begins at part time during onboarding in May and then transitions to full time from June until August 2020. The cafe is situated in our festival center which attracts over 1000 participants on site in the peak of our season and acts as a central meeting place for people to gather. The duties of Summer Cafe Workleader are being delegated into its own role away from the year round holding of the cafe which will be held by the Course Season Cafe Workleader/Summer Cafe Support, who will become Cafe Support in the summer and will be the person onboarding this position for continuity sake.
Summer Cafe Workleader Job Duties:
Maintain and update Hygiene and safety standards. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Food and health federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records.
Hold the Cafe’s budget during summer, be responsible for orders and stocks with support from cafe manager assistant
Ensure high quality of all products, delivering tasty, organic, homemade pastries,coffee, cakes, smoothies, cold drinks, snacks)
Build a positive team dynamic that promotes balance and compassion for volunteers as well as participants
Ensures that the café is a welcoming, cosy place for connection and heart-felt meetings.
To be financially sustainable according to the budget given to the Workleader for sales, costs and equipment.
